Meet Us
Dr. M. Michael Akhiyat, MD, FACOG
Michael AKhiyat, M.D., earned a medical degree in Casablanca, Morocco, and completed his Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of several medical societies.
Dr. Akhiyat is a proud member of the Flagler and Putnam County Medical Society and has privileges in two hospitals: Flagler Hospital in Saint Augustine and Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka.
Dr. Akhiyat held many leadership positions, including Chief of Staff, Putnam Medical Society President, Chief of Surgery, and Chief of the OB Department.
Dr. Akhiyat cared for more than 10,000 moms and is the father of four beautiful children. He enjoys community work, water sports, soccer, and fishing in his spare time.
